WHO WE ARE

Hybrid Athlete provides a unique blend of evidence based, field tested training solutions both on-site and online. We first opened 2016 at an athletic training facility in Methuen Massachusetts. From these humble beginnings, we have become known around the Merrimack Valley for our coaching programming and our training philosophy.

We have been called upon by some of the top university, preparatory, high School & youth organizations in the Northeast. Until recently, our fitness experience was confined to athletes who were able to train within our facility walls, but Coming soon, our training will be available from anywhere in the world via the Hybrid Athlete Online Training Portal.

BRENDON MEDUGNO

FOUNDER & MASTER TRAINER

Brendon Medugno founded Become Athlete (a training program located inside Become Fitness training facility) in 2016 with a passion to help athletes of all ages, in any sport, reach their full potential. Every program uses the same fundamentals & techniques that have proven successful to all our elite athletes.

Brendon is renowned for his incredible focus and work ethic, and brings that same dedication to his role as Owner and Master coach of Hybrid Athlete. He has a passion to help athletes break out of their comfort zones and reach new heights in athleticism.

DAQUAN SAMPSON

DIRECTOR OF BASKETBALL ACADEMY

Daquan Sampson joined as a full time Strength and Conditioning Coach in the winter of 2019. Daquan graduated from Endicott College in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. During his college days, Daquan was a member of Endicott Men’s Basketball team where he scored over 1,000 career points.

Daquan has experience working with high level basketball players as well as top-notch football programs. Coach D has trained the Evolution Basketball AAU program for the past 3 years as their Strength & Conditioning Coach. He’s dedicated to helping athletes of all levels to improve their athletic performance, accomplish their goals, and build their character. Daquan is currently studying for the CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and he plans on continuing his education and pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Psychology.

REECE AYERS

DIRECTOR OF STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
& LACROSSE SPECIALIST

Reece Ayers is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a Master’s Degree in Exercise and
Sports Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Merrimack College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College. Reece has worked in sports performance with collegiate, high school and youth lacrosse, hockey, football, baseball and softball players. Reece was a collegiate lacrosse player with extensive experience playing and coaching the sport on the field and in the weight room.

dante correra

HEAD STRENGTH COACH

Dante Correa graduated Endicott College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. While attending Endicott he interned for Parisi Speed School and CT Sports & Fitness. As an intern he assisted in programming and working one on one with middle-school, high-school, and collegiate athletes for various sports. Dante also coached speed clinics for local youth and high school football teams. These clinics focused on speed, agility, and proper mechanics. He then became a Certified Personal Trainer through National Federation of Professional Trainers after graduating. As a personal trainer he has designed exercise programs for adults and athletes ranging from youth to division I, II, III. As a former collegiate running back he has specialized in coaching football and speed development. He will be become a Certified Strength of Conditioning this winter.
